Willow-leaf Bluestar is an erect perennial that forms a vase-like habit with narrower willow-like green foliage that turns attractive yellow in fall. Pyramidal clusters of small light blue star-shaped flowers bloom at the tips of the stem in late spring. Best fall colors are in full sun and consistent moisture, but flowers last longer with afternoon shade in the South. Drought resistant in shade.
