Rosalie Clematis is deciduous semi-woody climbing vine that freely flowers and can be used for groundcover with pointed green foliage. Abundant large bicolor flowers that open rosy pink with darker stripes transitions through shades as it fades to lavender pink with darker strips and blooms profusely through summer into fall. Grows best with partial sun on the roots and full sun on the vines, moist well-drained soils. Needs support to climb.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Medium Maintenance. Water regularly, do not let soil dry out. It will need support if used for climbing. Prune back dead or weak vines in late winter and trim back remaining vines to first buds seen. Potential diseases include wilt (can be fatal), powdery mildew, and rust. Potential pests include scale, mites, weevils, earwigs, and slugs.
