Halston Bearded Iris is a compact reblooming herbaceous perennial that spreads with rhizomes and forms a clumping habit with long sword-like foliage fans upwards. Its sturdy central stalk sports large silky deep violet flowers with white marked falls and matching beards, and bloom first from mid to late spring and again in late summer to early fall. Prefers partial sun and rich, moist well-drained soils.

MAINTENANCE NEEDS: Low Maintenance. Water regularly, then occasionally once established. Can cut back any dying foliage after flowering. Some major issues can be soft root, crown rot, and leaf spot. Watch for molting and remove any affected leaves. Avoid overcrowding and too much shade to lessen the chance of these issues.
